Coming into community with horses begins when we are prepared to give up our demand to lead.
The need for control is only too human. But only if I first conquer this need, and place my trust in the horses and their peaceable natures, can the horses truly touch and even change me.
As long as I set myself apart, I remain an outsider and can only react from the outside. From that position only tricks and “horse whispering” methods will reliably reach the horse.
The relationship with horses begins in that I take myself back and at the same time remain available. In doing that I give the horses confidence and trust.
It is our inner state that allows horses to come to us at any time. The person who connects to horses in this way participates in their communal consciousness.
